Who are Edible Estates?
Edible Estates is a partnership of organisations which work together to promote community greenspace projects. We work across a variety of communities, but our approach is particularly well suited to social housing estates. We use food growing as a tool for urban regeneration, promoting individual health and well-being, and community cohesion.
FEATURED PROJECT
Murrayburn & Hailesland Neighbourhood Garden
The Neighbourhood Garden is a place for folk to come together to grow food, build a sense of community, and improve their health and well-being.
What We Do
In working with communities over the years, we have developed several project templates which communities can implement in their neighbourhood, or use as a starting point to develop their own project.
Neighbourhood Gardens
We establish community gardens in Council estates which provide a place and activity for people to come together, providing a springboard for other projects in the neighbourhood.
Community Park
We are supporting communities to design and build their own parks, making the most of best practice in Natural Play design.
